The location of preferences file depends on your OS but it's general location is \ \Application Data\Lyx, could also be \Username\AppData\Roaming\Lyx2.0\Preferences. Lyx-130
All you'd need to do is to modify your lyx preferences file with the following code.
On Lyx, it's fairly easy to do with step by step instructions here. This color scheme is somewhat similar to Darkroom for Windows. Lyx (or LateX) does not line break the code. Layout: It is good programming practice to indent conditional statements.
Like distraction-free-easy-on-eyes Dark IDE's, most developers prefer clutter free green on black background for their text editors as well. I experience 2 Problems with that: Indentation (done with TAB's) is ignored. lvert and rvert into my display formula and Lyx does the right thing.
